Any chance USB is disabled in BIOS?
Not that I can see, but I'm going to double-check it in a minute. I'm gonna boot from the live CD just to see how the USB ports behave.
EDIT: When running from the Live CD, all USB ports behave as normal.
If you have any rear USB 3.x ports, are they working?
There are two back there; neither of them work.
Have you tried pulling the power plug on the system and letting it sit for 10 minutes? I'm assuming you pulled the power plug when you added or removed the hub from the system, as USB can have power with system shut down.
Did both these things, hence the confusion.
Does the hub have its own separate power connector?
It doesn't, but I did try another one that did before I plugged this one in. It also gave me some weird issues that went away once I took it out.
