Hi, I am using Linux mint 19. I am trying to connect my laptop to a screen but nothing appears except linux mint background (i cant see content from my laptop). I went to system setting and then display and tried to change the secend screen as primary but i am getting an error message which is in the attached photo.
How to fix this please?

the think is when i click apply i got the error message in the picture!!! I dont have activiteis on top left corner
