Can anyone recommend a Linux friendly Drawing tablet?

Post by drpeppercan »

I have a Wacom Bambu Fun. But I am having a hard time with the drivers. Well, I can use it, except I don't have the app that allows me to modify the buttons on the tablet and the pen.
I would hate not being able to use it in Linux just because of this. So I wouldn't mind buying another brand as long as it is better with Linux.

Thanks

Why? The drivers are built into the kernel. There is nothing to install.

I use a Wacom Bamboo. Buttons and pen are adjusted in System Settings, Hardware, Graphics Tablets.

Hi drpeppercan,

I just read your post and the good replies to it. Here are my thoughts on this as well.

It would help to know more about your system setup. If you run "inxi -Fxzd" and "lsusb" from the console terminal prompt, highlight the results, copy and paste them back here, that should provide enough information.

You were absolutely right kyphi!
I didn't think it was this simple!
I thought I had no choice but to use the Linux Wacom Project
