I read a post that with mtp-tools installed that one could then mount and place files on a Sony Walkman. I cannot find that same post again, so I will post my recent experience.
I installed mtp-tools and mounted my Sony Walkman NW E395 in my USB port and Nautilus immediately recognized the device. My main interest was to have my music files available on the Walkman. I was able to create folders in the Walkman for the different types of music, Jazz, Blues, Latin, etc. I then was able to transfer music files on my hard drive to the appropriate folders on the Walkman. As an added bonus I was able to connect the Walkman from its headphones outlet to my automobile headphone input and listen to the music on my automobile radio.
