ASUS VIvobook X541NA

Hello. For some strange reason my mouse cursor hangs from time to time and the only way I can turn it back on is either FN+F9 or "sudo -r modprobe hid-multitouch && sudo modprobe hid-multitiouch". Here's my computer specs:

It's an annoying ASUS touchscreen bug that is adversely affecting the touchpad. The only kernels that have patched it in the Linux Mint 4.15 series I think is 4.15.0-20, 4.15.0-22 and 4.15.0-23 as well as the mainline kernels. I was wondering is there any other solution to this hid-multitouch freezing cursor problem other than using those certain kernels? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If it's a bug with Ubuntu's kernels you should report to it Ubuntu: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/Bugs

Off-topic: My X541NA has a different touchpad model but that doesn't work correctly either ever since I had updated the BIOS to the version you are using (worked perfectly fine prior to that), and with the latest BIOS version even more things started to break. Apparently ASUS is terrible at BIOS. The only thing worse is their support. :P
