I have been searching ebay and amazon for an USB 3 to HDMI adapter with Linux compatibility and the results i've found say mac and linux are not supported so i wonder of you guys have any idea of one that is compatible?

if they do say " mac and linux are not supported" - - that could be because of it's need for drivers?

well, i already have one and the makers have published the drivers as open source but i have no clue how to compile that.
