SOLVED boot errors--does my notebook need warranty service?

Post by sadhu »

I've had this notebook for a while now but haven't used it much. I've always seen some messages flash briefly during boot, but the system seems to be working OK, although a bit slow. I finally dug into /var/syslog, and found these cryptic errors:

Code: Select all

Ja
The top eight errors concern me most.

My question is whether
1) I should fix some BIOS setting, or
2) ignore the error, or
3) take the machine back to the seller for warranty repair.

Thanks

It's all hardware errors..I don't know if your bios has a function to do a bios reset on not otherwise try updating your bios from the manufacturer that may fix the errors.
you could also try updating the kernel.
