That's great that your issue is solved!
Exact same issue as another user had at almost the same time and solved the same way.
I'm now rather surprised this hasn't come up more often, with enable-lfe-remixing defaulting to no. Surely there must be a lot of users using 5.1 and 7.1 sound.
