I used the live usb to check out mint on this laptop and for my peripherals. Everything worked so I installed it to the hard drive.
Now the only thing not working is my Canon TS3120 scanner.
I installed VueScan as I did when testing with the live usb and that worked then but now it says it cannot find the scanner.
I tried running Vuescan as root and still same issue.
The Printer/Scanner is connected via USB cable.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't know why the Live USB worked and now it doesn't after being installed
I found some posts here and those suggestions did not work.
Thank you,
(just tried it with the live usb again and it works - i am so confused)

Re: Scanning - Vuescan-Canon TS3122
Hello All,
I finally resolved this issue. I was adding the Printer/Scanner through Add Printer. I removed the device then I found that Canon has Linux drivers for this and downloaded them, then installed the device. VueScan now sees the device and works flawlessly.
