Well, you posted some dmesg output, but didn't say if the touchpad is working any differently. I have found threads where a freezing touchpad started working, but the user was still seeing those messages, so they may not relate to the issue.

Anyway, I've never used a laptop so I think I've hit my limit on any help I can offer. The only thing I could think of at this point is a power setting shutting it down at some point of inactivity. I would think hitting a button would wake it back up, but that's just a guess.

Well it does show up around the point my touchpad freezes.

Every five minutes it freezes and is just being annoying. Also, sometimes when I have multiple windows open, A white cursor on a black background appears and the cinnamon login screen randomly appears (The one you get when completely signed out)

Well that's starting to sound more like a power management issue (among others?)

You'll need Cinnamon users to assist at this point.

My laptop is plugged-in and battery iss able to sustain the laptop.

I'm referring to power management software. An example; setting your laptop to suspend when the lid is closed or having the lock screen kick in when inactive for a period of time are power management settings.
