Cintiq 13HD calibration borked, need prompt response

Post by bandkanon »

So I started using Linux very recently and things were going hunky dory for a while. I was happy with how easily everything clicked together and setting up my Wacom Cintiq 13HD was a breeze.

But today I noticed the pointer and stylus weren't lining up suitably.
So naturally I went into the Graphics Tablet program and tried to re-calibrate it. Thing is, this only made it worse, causing the cursor to move over further to the left. Thinking I had done it wrong, I tried to go over the calibration again, and it only got worse from there. Each time I tried to calibrate, the cursor moved further and further away until it was all the way on the left side of the screen.

Fed up with that, I switched to the terminal and fiddled with the xsetwacom commands, using all the guides I could to try and get it recalibrated manually (I even used a guide sourced here)-- but instead I only made things worse, causing the cursor to only move vertically with the stylus, stuck on the left side of the screen. I don't really think it's necessary to mention the command I used that may have broken it more, but I will anyway:

xinput set-prop "Wacom Cintiq 13HD Pen stylus" --type=float "Coordinate Transformation Matrix" 1 0 0 0 0.555555 0.555555 0 0 1

(EDIT) I forgot to mention this panicked mess:

Code: Select all

avocado@MintyFresh:~$ xsetwacom set "Wacom Cintiq 13HD Pen stylus" MapToOutput "HEAD-1"
Cannot find device 'Wacom Cintiq 13HD Pen stylus'.
avocado@MintyFresh:~$ xsetwacom set "Wacom Cintiq 13HD Pen stylus" MapToOutput "HEAD-1"
avocado@MintyFresh:~$ xsetwacom set "Wacom Cintiq 13HD Pen stylus" MapToOutput "HEAD-0"
avocado@MintyFresh:~$ xsetwacom set "Wacom Cintiq 13HD Pen stylus" MapToOutput "HEAD-1"
avocado@MintyFresh:~$ xsetwacom get "Wacom Cintiq 13HD Pen stylus" area
-23637 -1661 -243 31357
avocado@MintyFresh:~$ xsetwacom set "Wacom Cintiq 13HD Pen Stylus" MapToOutput 1600x900+0+0
Cannot find device 'Wacom Cintiq 13HD Pen Stylus'.
avocado@MintyFresh:~$ xsetwacom set "Wacom Cintiq 13HD Pen stylus" MapToOutput 1600x900+0+0
avocado@MintyFresh:~$ xsetwacom set "Wacom Cintiq 13HD Pen stylus" MapToOutput 1600x900+1366+0
avocado@MintyFresh:~$ xsetwacom set "Wacom Cintiq 13HD Pen stylus" MapToOutput 1600x900+0+901
(I guess the benefit to showing this is: If you have experience with display coordination/calibrating wacom devices, you might already see what I did wrong. Maybe. I wouldn't know.)

I'm out of steam. I need help, and fast. I thought I had it all figured out, but I guess I'm just far too stupid. The worst part is, this is really hampering my productivity and causing more delays for my project, which has already been on hold long enough. The stress is getting to me and I'm actually on the verge of tears here. Can't really think straight in this state of mind.

If it helps, here's what xrandr returns:

If any other information is required, I will gladly and promptly provide them. Like I keep saying, this is an issue that needs immediate action, so I'm definitely on edge and keeping my eyes on the forum. I'll be eternally grateful to anyone that is able to help.
