what services can be safely turned off?

im on linux mint 7 32.bit. my motherboard is a abit ip35pro a desktop board the videocard is a ati HD.3850 so im sure services for laptops and other stuff can be turned off but i dont want to blindly shut stuff off. thanks :D

atd: if you don't run batch jobs
bluetooth: if you don't have bluetooth devices (obviously)
samba (smbd,nmbd): if you are not sharing folders/printers with Windows machines on a network
rsync: if you don't plan on doing automatic backups

thanks for tips. batch jobs? and other thing turning off samba (smbd,nmbd):? i stream mounted NTFS hard drives to my ps3 with xbmc from mint. they are just formatted to NTFS they have my tv shows and movies on em no windows OS
