CPU which refuses to reduce CPU frequency

Hello,

I have just spent 3 hours and did a lot of tests : you are my last chance.

My CPU works at 3.4 GHz and does not want to be lower whatever I do !!!

/sys/devices/system/cpu/intel_pstate/no_turbo = 1
/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_governor = powersave
/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_driver = intel_pstate
/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_max_freq = 2700000

So it means that turbo mode is off. Max frequence is 2.7 GHz.

But /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_cur_freq = 3535177 (in practice, it is between 3400000 and 3600000)


What is wrong ? Please help me, you are my last chance !

For your info, I tried with lapmode_mode and TLP. Same behavior

What machine make and model is this. Have you updated to the newest motherboard firmware from the manufacturer's download site?

I had the same problem and had to go into BIOS/UEFI to alter the turbo setting. (X470)
