Wifi adapter issue, all network shown but not my home

Post by MMZF »

Hello, im using recommended drivers from driver manager, of Wifi which is bcmwl-kernel-source. there are only 2 options of drivers. 1 is bcmwl-kernel-source and the 2 is don't use this device. the issue im getting is that, all other networks are coming in my network list but not my home wifi, the router is almost 6-7 feet away from me but now showing in network list. while hotspot and my neighbour network is coming. my router is also connected to other devices like phone. but it is not coming in my network list on this linux mint. i also tried reinstalling the bcmwl-kernel-source but still other networks available my home network not showing up.

here are some results of some commands.

Try this:

Code: Select all

sudo modprobe -r wl && sudo modprobe wl
If that doesn't work, you may need a different driver. Do:

Code: Select all

sudo apt purge bcmwl-kernel-source && sudo apt install firmware-b43-installer
Reboot
