Canon mf112

Post by Olivier »

Hello,
I'm trying to install a canon mf112 printer. I've downloaded the driver for linux 64 from the canon website and installed it trough the install script. The printer is detected, configured and is working BUT I can't use the scanner function. Whatever I do, when I start the scanning tool (simple scan) it says after a while "No devices found".
I haven't found anything on the internet concerning a problem with this model. Though a tutorial on tutorialforlinux (https://tutorialforlinux.com/2019/05/27 ... asy-guide/) as a quickstart scanning section, it is empty ...

Any idea ?

The

Code: Select all

scanimage -L
command returns no results.

But the

Code: Select all

sudo sane-find-scanner -q
returns :

Code: Select all

found USB scanner (vendor=0x04a9 [Language Error], product=0x27ed [Language Error]) at libusb:003:005
I've edited the /etc/sane.d/canon.conf file to add the following lines :

Code: Select all

usb
usb 0x04a9 0x27ed
But nothing changed

According to http://www.sane-project.org/man/sane-pixma.5.html the mf110 series is included but not tested. Even if it isn't tested it should be detected correctly, righ ?
