Graphics Tablet Applet Won't Launch

Post by RedshiftVS »

So I just got a spicy new Wacom tablet and I plugged it in. Everything's fine on that end, but when I go to open the graphics tablet settings they just don't open. This isn't the issue of the applet not recognizing the tablet as I have seen all the posts about that. The settings will just close when I click on graphics tablet. I haven't tried downgrading to mint 19 yet because I really don't want to do that unless I have to.
Anyway I have no idea where to start and am relatively green as far as this stuff goes. but here is my systems inxi output.

I am experiencing the exact same issue. My Wacom Intuos tablet works "fine", although I need to map it correctly to the screen, which I can't do since when I try to open the applet it simply won't launch.

I am also having this issue. The tablet doesn't map to the screen the way I want, but clicking on 'Graphics Tablet' in 'System Settings' just causes 'System Settings' to close. Furthermore, I'm using two monitors, one of which is rotate 90 degrees, so at the very least, I'd like to force the graphs tablet only to map to the horizontal one. Any ideas?

I managed to solve parts of the problem with: https://github.com/linuxwacom/libwacom/issues/281

Now I still have issues to map the tablet to one monitor only.
