usb3.0 to ethernet-adapters support

where can be found a list of all 'usb3.0-to-ethernet-adapter' devices ( vendor and model ) which linux mint 20 mate edition supports?

You likely won't find such a list. This 1Gb adapter works out of the box. 13 Australian pesos.

I have the same adapter. Works great...even have it recognised with Android.

these 'usb3.0-to-ethernet-adapter' devices/adapters are actually something like an external nics, right?
and they obtain ip-addresses from the routers just like the internal nics, right?
