Question about wireless card...

Postby Roger_Corman » Sun Oct 18, 2009 8:36 pm

Hi! I'm totally new to Linux Mint, (which means that I'm totally new to Linux in general) and I had a quick question:

So, I have a Linksys Wireless-G notebook adapter. Exact specs below:

Linksys Wireless-G 2.4GHz Notebook Adapter. (802.11g)
Model no. WPC54G v. 1.2

So, here's my question: how do I get it to work for Linux? I know in Ubuntu you need ndiswrapper... is this needed here as well? If you could link to a step-by-step guide or explain how to do it, it would be very much appreciated.

Thanks much!

Welcome to Mint!

The best place to start is here.

Then post back to this thread if you can not get the card working.
They'll all look at me and say,
Hey look at him! I'll never live that way.
But that's okay -
They're just afraid to change.
