I have tried looking at other posts but they seem specific to the askers computer so I'm making this post. You can see my pavucontrol below:
As you can see the top one (my headset) is completely silent. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Headset microphone detected but silent in Mint 20.1
Hello, this is my first time installing Linux on my laptop (I used virtual box before). Everything is fine except that my headset microphone is not working for some reason, it is a normal headset with a single 3.5mm jack. Because of this I am using my laptops microphone but it is not very good for communicatiotn so I would like to use an external one.
