Upgrade your Linux PC hardware using open source tools

Post by AZgl1800 »

I just ran across this article by Howard Fosdick, reading through it, he puts a lot of info into one article.

just thought it might be of use to newer folks to Linux, or even to those who are just considering upgrading their PC.
Is it worth while / Cost Effective in your particular case?

Howard Fosdick helps you come to the right conclusion.

Most of the tools he speaks of, are already installed in Linux Mint, or available in Software Manager.

I had just laboriously found how to get a memory summary:

Code: Select all

sudo dmidecode -t 16
