[SOLVED] Cpu Temp Shows 0° C

Post by super scooper »

I am trying to view the cpu temp of my Ryzen 5600x, but psensor always shows 0° C for "temp1". How do I get it to show the correct temperature? I have an msi b550-a pro mobo. Psensor show my gpu temp correctly, but not cpu, and running

Code: Select all

sensors
also shows 0 for temp1. Is temp1 the cpu temp? If not, how do I find it?

Try installing hardinfo aka system profiler. It's in your Software Manager.

Hardinfo also shows 0 C. Running as superuser does not help, it also shows 0.

Now to keep it and not get updates for the other kernels, use the update manager to uninstall all 5.4 and 5.8 kernels.

I uninstalled 5.4, but it still wants to update it, but I ignored it in the update manager, and it went away. If I do sudo apt upgrade or sudo apt update, will it install 5.4?

After removing all of them, it should only be the headers that will update and that won't affect your 5.10 kernel.
