Error While Copying. [error when transfering from mobile]

Post by argenisjimort »

Hi. I connected my Motorola g6 Play in order to transfer some PDFs to my pc.
Im using Linux Mint 20.1 64bits

It's weird, because i just used it yesterday to transfer some videos over [mobile to PC, and PC to mobile]
(Yes, I have the right setting in my phone to allow usb transfers).

I can browse them, and even open them, but not transfer them.

I realized this happens with every file, even with the videos i transfered yesterday. However, The problem happens only when i try to transfer files from my phone to the PC, and not viceversa.

Full error prompt:

Code: Select all

ERROR WHILE COPYING.

There was an Error getting information about "File.pdf"
show more details->
the name :1.242 was not provided by any .service files
--------------------------------

There also appear more errors when i activate file transfer option on my PC.

Code: Select all

Could not display "mtp-motorola_moto_g6__play_ZL4227697S/"

Error: no such interface "org.gtk.vfs.Mount" on object at path /org/gtk/vfs/mount/1
Please selesct another device and try again
ANother:

Code: Select all

Unable to open folder for moto g(6) play

No such interface "org.gtk.vfs.Mount" on object at path /org/gtk/vfs/mount/1
[Edit 1]
I shut down and stared my pc again, connected my phone, activated it and worked. i was able to transfer a files. But then i deactivated File transfer (on my phone) and when i activated again, the same error appeared. I dont know why. not even unplugging the phone and plugging it again solves the problem. I dont want to have to be restarting my PC if i need to transfer any other file.
