In Windows 7, the last of my now removed MS OSs, there was a CPU data reader. It gave the CPU temperature and monitored its activity. Is there a program like that for linux-mint 19.1 ?
My CPU temperature is about 37C. I think that is normal for my system. I got that reading from Foxclone.

Well let's look at what info you haven't given us yet.Alvin wrote: ⤴Sun Jun 13, 2021 4:37 pm In Windows 7, the last of my now removed MS OSs, there was a CPU data reader. It gave the CPU temperature and monitored its activity. Is there a program like that for linux-mint 19.1 ?

We don't know what cpu you're running, the motherboard, or its bios/uefi version. Also we don't know if you're using Cinnamon, Mate, or XFCE desktop.
Read viewtopic.php?f=17&t=83444 ..specifically the part about posting your inxi -Fxxxrz results. We might not be be to give accurate and applicable help without more info.

Re: CPU Data Reader
Assuming the data you mean is how hard each core is working, you could try going to Menu/Applets and trying the Multi-core system monitor. However, that would depend on what version of Mint you are running - so it would be best to do what has been suggested to you by motoryzen if you need more help.
Re: CPU Data Reader
If you are running cinnamon there is a CPU temp applet. Foxclone is running the lxpanel.
If a desktop 37C is normal.
