Does gaming mice also identify as Keyboard in DMESG ??

Post by bugeyedalien »

I have two mice, one Roccat Kone Pure owl-eye 2017 - and one new Razer Viper 8Khz.
Both show up as mice but also has a keyboard entry when I look in dmesg after inserting the plug. Below I paste the info for both.
Oddly the Roccat shows up as "fullspeed" (usb1 ???) and my TPlink-USB3 powered hub, has a blinking led by the input that seem to indicate some issue.
The Razor also gets a fullspeed entry in dmesg and a blinking led - but not on initial insertion.

This is on a Ryzen 5 4650 with renoir graphics, Kernel 5.8 on Mint 20.1 edge. Same happens on mint 19.3 on other i3core computer, kernel 5.4
