Hello Experts,
I'm completely new with linux generally and linuxmint especially, i installed it since around week and loved it so much, i found alternatives for everything on windows and i found solutions for everything except one thing.
The battery indicator that appear at the right down corner always show that battery is Fully Charged and also show it is connected to the charger although the charger is not connected since long time and the battery for sure is not 100%, i didn't find any solution to this issue till now. hope to find it through you.
Thanks in advance.
Mo.

Re: Battery indicator not working - linuxmint 20.1 Cinnamon
If you're talking about a UPS and not a laptop..
I'm using a UPS and the Cinnamon Power Manager is not super great.
It's polling is pretty slow. I changed to a newer UPS model but the applet didn't discover the new device name and I had to edit it.
The good news is if you're using Cyberpower, they support software for Linux and you can use that. But it's propitiatory.
I found the built-in applet Ok enough for my needs and didn't install the 3rd party app because my USP has a screen on it I can check.
I'm not sure about APC.

Hello shockedquartz,
No i'm not using UPS, just using laptop plugging charger into it directly from the electricity source.

I usually recommend using as few applets as possible, but in your case I suggest you install the 'Power Manager' applet (Menu - Applets).
Also please give us info on your system. Type this in a terminal:
Post the output in "Code" tags. The button that inserts these tags is marked </>
