Battery not charging

Hello,
i'm using Mint 20.1 Ulyssa with Kernel: 5.4.0-74-generic x86_64.
Battery not charge even the laptop is on or poweroff

Have you run BIOS diagnostics on your Battery?

Hi manyroads,
i don’t have this kind of diagnostics in my BIOS. Only memory test or hard disk test.

The strange things is that in my house when i plug charger of my Mac or Windows laptop there’s no problem. Only my HP with linux Mint can’t charge battery.

The super strange things is that in my office with my HP linux Mint, i’ve no problem with battery, laptop charging normally

That rally is strange. Do you use the same charger at home and in the office?

Have you checked that you actually have power at the outlet that you're plugging in the charger to at home?

I've plugged charger in all of my outlet in the house

That's very strange! I can't think of any reason why it would charge at work and not at home, especially since you have tried multiple outlets at home.

Based on the fact that 3 different laptops all have the same problem of charging at home, I would have an electrician check the actual voltage at the outlets in your home. It sounds like you might have low voltage at your outlets.

I misunderstood your comment about 3 laptops. I thought they all had problems charging at home. Please disregard my comment about having an electrician check your outlets.

Since when does your HP laptop with Mint refuse to charge the battery at home? How do you know that the battery is not charging?
