[SOLVED] Elgato Wave 3 USB not on when I boot on Mint 20.2

Hi,

After several years on Windows, I'm back on Linux and I'm having an issue with my Elgato Wave 3 microphone, plugged in USB behind my PC tower on a USB port of the motherboard.

- My Linux: linuxmint-20.2-cinnamon-64bit
- I have Windows 10 on another SSD.
- My motherboard is a MSI x470 Carbon

- Elgato Wave 3 microphone is plugged in USB behind my tower. If I unplugged and re plugged the microphone, it's detected and it works (I did some test via the system utility). However, I would like to be sure the microphone is activated automatically when I boot on Cinnamon.

The first thing to try is install pavucontrol (Pulse Audio Volume Control) and use it to set the preferred input, then see if it sticks between boots.

I did install the software you required. I just realized that the microphone does not get any sound from me. I tried to disconnect/reconnect, does not change a thing. Still, I see it on the setup:



I see port: microphone but the Elgato is plugged via USB. What should I do from there?

Thanks for your help. After playing a bit with it, I did select "mono entry only" and it works. I can see a "multichannel entry" too but I'm not sure it it means stereo entry for the microphone or not. But I'm going toward the right direction. Pulseaudio seems very practical. Thanks again
