C270 not working on Mint19.3 uvcvideo not found

Hi all,

I have been digging through forums today as my Logitech C270 (I know, it should be working ... and it has in Mint20 and 20.2, but I need to use 19.3 for now) isn't working.

I checked if the system can see it via command line and it is listed as hardware.

I then checked for uvcvideo and it's just not there.

modinfo: ERROR: Module alias uvcvideo not found.
~$ sudo modprobe uvcvideo       
modprobe: FATAL: Module uvcvideo not found in directory /lib/modules/5.4.0-86-generic

From what I read it should have come with Mint19.3 by default and some people are saying to reinstall from scratch, but literally everything else works and I just went through a very lengthy setup of software packages and tools and settings I need and would love to avoid going through all of that again.

Is there a way to get that installed now separately?
I saw on their site one can compile it, but I am not that savy.
