SOLVED connecting to a Raspberry Pi

Post by Bubbette »

Hello,

I want to connect my laptop running Mint to a Raspi thru HDMI. How to I enable my laptop as a monitor for the Raspi? Or can I even do that?

You need an external monitor for that. Laptops have hdmi out, not in. :(

I used to do what you want like this https://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/q ... -and-putty, ie run an X11 server on the pi and a suitable client on your laptop. There may be better ways now.

I found it easy to get VNC viewer to work on the PI to access its GUI, just enabled VNC access in raspi-config IIRC
