Print server D-link DPR-1061

Post by droucom »

Hi all! I'm installing print server d-link DPR-1061 to manage usb printers on my network, it runs fine in windows, but I can't run from linux mint. I have Linux Mint 20.1 Cinnamon. I tried installing like this:
1. Add printer
2. LPD/LPR host or printer
3. host: IP of the print server. Queue: server name of the print server (on status>Device info>Server name)
4. Then selected printer on data base.
And don't runs... :( Any one can help?
Thanks in advance

According to d-link web site..
This product was phased out on: 13/02/2017
This product's last date of support is on: 13/02/2019
The last linux driver was available in 2012 so you maybe out of luck, you might have to invest in a newer product.

Finally it runs!!
the right configuration is:
1. Add printer
2. LPD/LPR host or printer
3. host: IP of the print server. Queue: (here is the kit of the question!) The server has 3 ports, then we must put here the "printer name" on the status tab in the configuration web of the server.
4. Then selected printer on data base.

Best regards to all.
David.
