need advice on installing LM on HP z840

Hi there all,
I searched for z840 but nothing came up.I've got a z840 ( see spec below) coming and I was wondering if there is anyone out there that has loaded LM20.2 onto something like this? I just want to avoid any gotcha's. I'm going to do a straight install to overwrite the loaded windoze10, When I redo a machine I take the easy route as all my data backups are done on an external nas ( thanks to LM forums!!!! ). I'm just going to program on this thing and cruise the web.

You can test the Live CD / USB without installing the system.

This way, you can not only check the installation itself / boot process.
I mean UEFI secure boot / legacy mode
and GPT / mbr dos with hard disk.

Great point! completely forgot about that whole concept. OUTSTANDING tip thanks. Machine just came, built like a brick s&*t house. 1125watt power, Hp cooling, cabling is pretty much invisible. I have much fun ahead. It's going to be my 2022 Julia development machine. Thanks again for the tip.

Maybe too late, but I'd take an image backup of the system before installing mint. Just in case you ever need to send it back.
