TP link archer T9UH
Well i got my old usb wifi working by changing USB cable, but since i need a long range external USB-wifi it would be nice getting this much faster archer T9UH working. I tried downloading the drivers (rtl8812au-dkms) but linux mint couldnt find my wifi card. Which i think is strange, since that driver in theory should work. Anyone else with this hardware issue?

Re: TP link archer T9UH (SOLVED)
I have recently installed a TP link archer WiFi adapter on Linux mint using the following link.
https://ostechnix.com/install-tp-link-a ... -in-linux/
Installation was successful, and wifi worked perfectly. But when I restarted the computer, it wasn't working. Does anyone know how to solve it?
Many thanks in advance.

Re: TP link archer T9UH
Try this, one line at a time:
Reboot
Code: Select all
sudo apt install git dkms
git clone https://github.com/aircrack-ng/rtl8812au.git
cd rtl8812au
sudo make dkms_install
Re: TP link archer T9UH
I already have this driver I think.
I got this answer
mkdir -p /usr/src/8812au-5.6.4.2_35491.20191025
cp -r * /usr/src/8812au-5.6.4.2_35491.20191025
dkms add -m 8812au -v 5.6.4.2_35491.20191025
Error! DKMS tree already contains: 8812au-5.6.4.2_35491.20191025
You cannot add the same module/version combo more than once.
make: *** [Makefile dkms_install] Error 3

Maybe you need a higher kernel, try the 5.13.

Re: TP link archer T9UH
You are a magician....it works!!!
So many thanks. I was beginning to think about finding another adapter, as I read that TP link adapters can be a problem with linux. But I have rebooted twice now and it worked both times.
Many thanks again.

Re: TP link archer T9UH
I guess it's your choice now to stay with the 5.13 kernel or go back to the 5.4.
