I own a laptop with Mint 20 Cinnamon installed and, sometimes, the onboard keyboard will have stopped working after waking from suspend.
This doesn't affect either the touchpad or external keyboards, however.
I've tried following the recommendations on this link, about putting
i8042.nomux=1
in /etc/default/grub
