Re: Wireless USB Wi-Fi Network Adapter
It would help to know more about your system setup. If you run
from the console terminal prompt, highlight the results, copy and paste them back here, that should provide enough information.
to provide a more Human Readable list of System specifications
Then please copy that info, then click on the </> box above, then paste that info into the code brackets.
Makes it a lot easier for gurus to help you out.

Re: Wireless USB Wi-Fi Network Adapter
When you plug in an ethernet cable you're not using wifi. Please post the output of the following command:
Code: Select all
lsusb && lspci && rfkill list all && mokutil --sb-state

Re: Wireless USB Wi-Fi Network Adapter
Hi manoh,
Welcome to the wonderful world of Linux Mint and its excellent forum!
I just read your post and the good replies to it. Here are my thoughts on this as well.
From reading the link you provided and the results of the console terminal commands, it appears that your USB dual band WiFi adapter uses the "RTL8812BU" chipset and requires a Linux driver. Obviously, you will need to be connected to the Internet to download and install the Linux driver using instructions from the links below. Once the driver is installed, then you can disconnect from the Ethernet and test the WiFi adapter.

Re: (SOLVED)Wireless USB Wi-Fi Network Adapter
People from discord helped me solve the issue.
https://discord.gg/mint this discord to be exact.
What i did was run these commands one line at a time.
sudo apt update
sudo apt install -y dkms git bc
git clone https://github.com/fastoe/RTL8812BU.git
cd RTL8812BU
make
sudo make install
sudo reboot
If that doesnt work try the post by phd21 . Maybe that helps
