keyboard and touchpad(click only) disabeled after "suspend

Hi,

i am using an old macbook air with linux mint 20.1 ulyssa, but when my laptop suspends the keyboard wont start nor will the buttons on the touchpad (i can move the mouse) i have tried all i could find on the topic but nothing worked. BTW the off button does still work, but only shut it down.
if anyone can think of a solution, please i'm all ears. Thanks!
