[SOLVED] UGREEN Bluetooth 5 USB adapter with RTL8761BUV

Post by Babur »

Hi:

I've been struggling to make this RTL8761BUV based bluetooth usb connector work on Linux Mint 20.3, with kernel 5.4.0-96-generic.

So far I've tried every solution I could find on forums but nothing works.

Info about current status of the system is given below. Any help will be much appreciated.

Well, switch to kernel 5.13.0-27-generic, rebooting, and re-plugging the dongle fixed the issue.

Once the driver is installed I find that I can't access the internet, whether I have a plugged in connection, USB tether from my phone or wifi, plus my nvidia driver is disabled. I guess I will just have to wait until the official latest kernel comes out as I am still too much of n00b to figure out how to fix the problems
