Brightness works but everything just gets darker :(
text and text type images seem OK. News photos or video images are very dark.
images are good on other machines with LM 20.3

Have you used different picture viewers?

Could you boot with Live Mint on your machine and check the same pictures.
This would narrow down the problem.

I have tried Zoom, .jpg's, Mozilla, All very dark. Cheese seems OK. It is looks like older TV's with the contrast at the extreme setting. Very little grey scaling on photo's or video feeds. I have tried over 100 images in more than a dozed laptops and desktops in my home running LM cinnamon17,18, 19, qnd 20. They all work fine.
