Screen continues to sleep after standby

Post by micld »

Hi,
I have a problem that I am stuck on.
When my PC is in standby mode, I do not get the screen signal back when I wake up. The PC runs visibly (LED) again, but the screen remains black.
It helps then only a restart.
Had the problem under Mint 20.3 already from time to time and now under Mint 21 actually always.
Maybe someone has a hint for me

Does standby mode mean you put the computer to sleep or just the monitor? Is the monitor connected directly to the computer (and not through a hub)?

Please run the updates in Update Manager. The latest version of Cinnamon is 5.4.11.

System:
Kernel: 5.15.0-46-generic x86_64 bits: 64 compiler: gcc v: 11.2.0 Desktop: Cinnamon 5.4.9
tk: GTK 3.24.33 wm: Mutter dm: LightDM Distro: Linux Mint 21 Vanessa base: Ubuntu 22.04 jammy

Does your system always run this hot? You might want to check if there are any BIOS/UEFI updates available.
