Resolution problem with 2nd monitor and docking station

Post by keess »

Hi,

I have a second monitor connected via HDMI through a Dell D6000 docking station, it is a LG 27" 3840x2160 60Hz
I installed displaylink-driver-5.6.1-59.184 to get the docking station working

My laptop is a Dell Latitude 7480, with a resolution of 2560x1440 at 60Hz, which I use at 150% (changing resolution works here)
Although I can change the resolution of the second monitor in the display settings, but it does not matter if I choose 100% or 200%, the resolution looks the same as the laptop display.

It used to work correctly under Ubuntu 22.04 and under Windows 10, also with a Macbook connected to de docking station.

When I connect the monitor directly to the laptop, the correct resolution is displayed.

I haven't found similar problems in this forum.

Any ideas how to correct this?
