I have installed Linux Mint 21 Cinnamon on an ASUS PRO5DAF-SX065V. The computer doesn't have Bluetooth, so I have added a generic USB dongle. Everything works fine when I play a music CD with Rhythmbox (and when using Hypnotix), but when I try to listen to web radio I get no sound. I have tried using both Firefox and Chromium. In both cases, I get a short burst of sound (less than a second) if I change the volome using the volume button on the headset.
What can be the reason for this, and how can I fix it?
Bluetooth sound from Rhythmbox but not from browsers
