rocketfish bt keyboard

Postby mwdenrg » Wed Dec 30, 2009 2:10 am

i all, new to mint, but been awhile since i've run linux. wanting to try it out again and so far no real issues besides my rocketfish bt keyboard.

i am pulling my hair out cause i can't get my bt kb to work right. for instance i've tried capitalizing every sentence so far and no capital unless i use the caps lock key or my wired kb. i also cannot use any of the symbols over the top number keys as well. i've read many forums and have uninstalled compiz, tried different kb types and layouts. i would love to have help getting my kb mapped properly.

i thought i'd add more info.

it is a 104 keys, with 18 multimedia keys.
when i go to keyboard and setup a new kb i can test the keystrokes on the kb layout screen, but nothing works outside of that, even in terminal.

Welcome to Mint
It would help if you told us what a "rocketfish bt keyboard" is
Normally there are at least basic keyboard layouts for any keyboard in the Keyboard applet, but rocketfish is not mentioned as manufacturer there
You have posted the same twice - duplicate deleted
Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
