I am looking for an app that supports any generic mouse. I want to do what the app Piper does for a gaming mouse in order to be able to configure all mouse buttons.
Is there anything like that?

Thank you for the link.
I have tried that a using the .deb package and when I tried to install it I get the following:
dpkg-deb: error: archive '/home/user/Downloads/input-remapper-1.5.0_all.deb' uses unknown compression for member 'control.tar.zst', giving up
dpkg: error processing archive /home/user/Downloads/input-remapper-1.5.0_all.deb (--install):
dpkg-deb --control subprocess returned error exit status 2
