Bluetooth hcio: unexpected error event for opcode 0xfc2f

Post by bananabob »

This is the same as this locked topic viewtopic.php?f=49&t=359111

I receive this message
Bluetooth hcio: unexpected error event for opcode 0xfc2f
Every time I shut my laptop lid and reopen it. So I can end up with a great list of these messages. A search of the internet gives some results but no answers that fix the problem. One suggestion was to put the following

Code: Select all

AutoEnable=true
into /etc/bluetooth/main.conf
Didn't work.
I have tried disabling bluetooth from Blueman but that doesn't work.

Here is the result of my inxi -Fxxxrz

Any clues on how to fix?

Code: Select all

Try these links.. I have LM21.1 installed on my desktop with Intel bluetooth and my expensive bluetooth headphones do not work unless I keep on turning them on and off until bluetooth finally starts. It's a common fault on LM21.1 so I can sympathize with you. So frustrating especially when a cheaper brand gets detected straight away..

None of those links seem to be of use, but thanks for letting me know about them.

It would appear I have Intel not Broadcom

I don't have any problems with bluetooth on LM21.1 or LMDE5, using blueman. But, I recently began using Bluetuith, which works better for me than blueman.
See the following topic about Bluetuith:

Good luck.

Well I have been able to stop the messages by using the using the following command

Code: Select all

systemctl stop bluetooth.service
So how can I achieve this at start-up? Because I currently have to input this after every reboot.
can I uninstall blutetooth?

Well That hasn't worked. It seems to restart the bluetooh.service all by itself and give me more of the messages.
