Adobe Photoshop is a Windows app. It has been ported to Mac OSX Snow Leopard, but it will not run in Linux unassisted. To install Photoshop, you need to install Wine and follow their directions to install Photoshop. Start here:

This is a listing of results posted by others that have used Wine to run Photoshop in Linux. It will give you an idea of how successful your efforts might be.

You could also install Virtual Box either from Software Manager or from their website, or install another virtual machine program, run Windows in the virtual machine, and run Photoshop in Windows.

The only other option is to dual boot Mint and Windows.

go to the 'start' menu and in the filter (search) bar search for wine. You will see below--> install package 'wine' , click on it, install wine1.0.1 ubuntu8, click yes. Voila (if you didn't know)

Now you will need to follow some steps to install photoshop. It is pretty tough if you are experienced with linux this should not be so hard.
Here are some interesting links: ... 7260.shtml [this will also work on Mint if im correct] ... ftExe.html ... rg%2F#1216

The only other option is to dual boot Mint and Windows.

That's what i do since i had problems running PhotoShop CS2 using wine
