Does Cassandra Work with These Motherboards?

Postby betaluva » Tue Sep 04, 2007 6:54 am

a gigabyte MA69VM-S2 (itegrated ATIâ„¢ Radeonâ„¢ X1200-based Graphics Engine) and a asus P5S-MX-SE (SIS Chrome9 HC Integrated Graphics), what i concerned about is their on board graphics, is their open source drivers for them and which would work better with cassandra?. thx

Hi
According to:
http://www.auspcmarket.com.au/index.php ... .php?input[product_code]=MB-GA-MA69VM-S2&input[category_id]=1555

"AMD 690V/SB600 board works with AMD SocketAM2 CPUs and DDR2 memory
PCI-E x16 and x4 slots, 2x PCI slots
IDE, FDD, 4x SATA, Gigabit LAN, onboard ATI x1200 video
7.1channel Audio, 24-pin and P4 power sockets
Tested to work OK with Ubuntu Linuxes"

Asus P5S-MX-SE google search Ubuntu gives nothing? ominous?

I know it is not the answer you want but I would look for Nvidia
