[SOLVED]No Sound on webpages, vlc and mplayer ! !

Hy, i don't have sound when i try to watch a youtube clip or in vlc, but i have it when i use amarok and dragon player..
Could someone please help me?

so..i found the solution:

1- In terminal type:
cat /proc/asound/modules
..this will show the soundcards and the occupy slot and their names.. (my output is)
0 snd_emu10k1
1 snd_hda_intel
2 snd_hda_intel
2- You have to see the names of the cards you do not want to use and in terminal type:
sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
3- then find the place where it says " # Prevent abnormal drivers from grabbing index 0.." and in the list below add:
options snd_nameofthecardudontwanttouse index=-2
(if you don't want to use more than one card you have to add a line for each card.)
4- save the file and in terminal type:
sudo reboot
( now it'll set the "wrong" sound cards to slot -2 (which make then to be disabled) and the correct soundcard should now grab slot 0 and work.)
