Floppy drive is read only

Postby Echo » Sun Oct 28, 2007 11:50 pm

I can read and mount my floppy drive, but can't write. thinking it may be permissons, I tried copying something in the terminal with this command:
jeep@jeep-desktop:/$ sudo cp /home/jeep/Desktop/file1 /media/floppy0
[sudo] password for jeep:
cp: cannot create regular file `/media/floppy0/file1': Read-only file system

Any advice?

Fstab is as it should be. Floppys are outdated.....

I accually only have one floppy. I use it for backing up my bookmarks and other importent text data. I'll see if I can dig one up to test though...
