Installed 17in monitor now screen wobbles

Post by brokentroy »

Ok, this is weird. I had a 15in monitor (lcd). I replaced it with a 17in. when I turned it on the screen was, and still is, wobbly. When I move the mouse it gets worse. When I activate the monitor's Menu, the built in one, it does not show that effect. Meanwhile, however, the screen behind the menu wobbles like crazy. I removed this monitor from a Windows box this morning and it was fine then. Is there a setting I need to adjust? I already tried changing the resolution and frequency via the Control Center. Any other options?

Thanks for the help

I'd guess: Incompatible Specifications
Your experiment has no control. I'd say get another cable. Perhaps there is a problem with your V/H sync.

You should check the resolution. LCD monitors work best at their native resolution. It is likely that the 15 inch native resoloution was 1024 x 768 and the 17 inch native resolution is 1280 x 1024.
