X-fi non 64-bit drivers

Postby Rathe » Mon Dec 17, 2007 7:41 pm

Does anyone know if there are any alpha or beta (or release version) drivers for the Soundblaster X-fi Platinum? I know there are 64 bit drivers, but Mint isn't 64 bit :-(
Sorry if this has been asked a ton... when searching I just get old posts.

Welcome to Mint Rathe
The release is imminent we've been told a long time by Creative
In this case my guess is as good as your guess
You have to keep watching Creative

Thanks for the reply
64 bit Mint or 32 bit X-fi drivers... either one will make me happy. Until then though, I guess I will dual boot with Vista :-(
Lately it really seems like Linux is starting to take off.. Hopefully that means better driver support.

Sound issues is the only real reason that I dual boot also.

I don't blame the Linux community, apparently its hella difficult to write drivers for those things!
