I'm new to Linux and Linux Mint.
I have a Macbook Air 4,2 dual booting Mac OS X Lion and Linux Mint 11. I just installed Linux Mint 11. I installed the additional proprietary hardware and all the available software updates.
Sound is not working in Linux Mint but works in OS X. I've tried googling for a solution or drivers for the Macbook Air but I've been unable to find anything that works. I am also unable to change the brightness either. Using the keyboard keys and fn button to change brightness doesn't work, I've also tried searching for files which control brightness after googling the problem threw up some names but I couldn't find anything in any files which looked like changing them would reduce brightness.
I would appreciate any help you could give me.
